Hey pups! As we've not really done anything exciting with the Paws Up trick (just added verbal cue and practised on different objects etc...), I've decided to go back tot the earlier trick of roll over and work on that a bit, extending it into a 'Roll Yourself in a Blanket' trick. Hopefully it will consist of Dina picking up a corner of a blanket in her mouth, rolling over whilst holding it, dropping the blanket and putting her head down (like this:)

This is the first behaviour chain I'll be teaching so
any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated. Wish us good luck!

Dina Mom
Dina, you are training your mom well. She is clicking and giving treats. You are being very attentive!

Dina, you are so very clever! I love it! Do you follow Sara's Blog with Oreo and Chewy? They're always learning tricks, and I bet they could help you figure yours out! http://saralovesdogs.blogspot.com/

Dina human training can be challenging but stick with and make sure you keep up with the treat training part too LOL.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly
That's awesome! My dog knows roll over (although he's reluctant!), and he loves to hold things in his mouth. I wonder if I could teach him to roll himself up in a blanket. I'll have to start working on it. Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Mr. N is meh about putting things in his mouth so I haven't tried that one yet.
ReplyDeleteI just loved this. Thanks!!! I need more training ideas now that the days are shorter.
ReplyDeleteDina... you are amazing... Chooey knows a couple of tricks... but I wonder if she's interested of training on cue with a clicker. I used to have one but stuck to the conventional "good girl" cues.
