In On a Rainy Day

Hey pups! So today it was raining pretty bad. All day. And that translates into no dogs you little moi. Instead Mom searched up some 'rainy day games' on the Internet and decided to try some out with me. First up was the Nosework game which was that Mom hid a treat in three containers while I was out the room and then encouraged me to look for them. I wasn't too sure about this game but Mom wasn't gonna push it so we transferred back to our other game which we have spoken about on here.

The second game we played it called Stairway Dash and that one involves Mom throwing a toy (we used my Frisbee) up the stairs and we fetching it. Pretty simple and a great way to get your dog tired. I was panting as hard after this as after a real game of fetch.

Third, which we don't have a video or photos of we played what was supposed to start out as some fun rally but turned into just walking around the house and asking for different tricks I know. Which was of course fun in itself as I got ham. Yay! If that was not enough Mom gave me my dinner in a KONG-like treat toy and I am munching as I tell Mom what to type.

What do you do on a rainy day?

Shopping Bag of Wonders

Hey pups! I'l joining Sugar the Golden Retriever in her Tasty Tuesday blog hop to share good news that Mom went for a pet shop shopping trip on Saturday. (DM: I swear shopping for Dina is one of my favourite things to do, I hate clothes shopping, grocery shopping or anything other shopping, apart from book shopping but when I walk into a pet store I could just spend all the money I get in my life there. Or is it just me?) A new line of shops has become apparent to Mom that she has mentioned before Pets Corner. It is like the British version of Chewy.com but not online. They have Orijen, Acana, Canagan, Lily's Kitchen and other almost unheard of by most British dog owners brands. It really makes my heart swell that there are some people out there that want to give us dogs good nutrition (even though they are probably doing it for money). I do wish they had bully sticks and a wider range of treats though eg. Greenies. They have great toys and collars/harnesses/leashes. Anyways this is turning into a bit of a review which it is not meant to be. Back to Mom's shopping trip she visited 3 pet shops (in another town) on one road. How pawsome is that? 3, not one, but THREE pet stores on one street! Mom was nice and bought me something from all three. From the middle store she got me 9 rawhide straps which I don't mind. They're not my faves but I do knaw on them when the peeps leave so they are handy to have around. They were also 10p (17 cents in USA) Mom says each. I have already devoured 3 and almost done with the 4th.

If you are particularly bored you can watch this video of me chewing for a couple of seconds

Next in the Shopping Bag of Wonders were two beefy hide chews. I have already had one and can confirm they are worth 100% of the 99p (1.64$) Mom paid for them.

Along with these chews were two bags of treats, Veni-Dog vension treats and Orijen Brome Lake Duck freeze- dried. All of you probably know Orijen and know what a great company they are but Veni-Dog are new to us so we will share at some later point.

Don't they look sooo smelly and delicious?

What are your pups' favourite treats?

Hike to Hydon's Ball

Hey pups! Today I'm going to be telling you about the pawesome hike I went on with Mom on Sunday. The weather was beautiful: sunny, cold and clear blue skies (Mom's favourite weather!) We didn't get the early start we hoped for but we weren't that late. To get to the starting place we had to drive ages as it's nowhere near where we live so that was fun...NOT! As soon as we got out it was all cool though and we soon found the footpath we had to take and got walking. Our first photos are from a heathland we walked across where we placed fetch and had our first pit stop.

DM: I seriously need to start making sure my camera lens is clean before taking photos cos all of these are ruined!

We hiked on but got a little confused with the map but luckily a nice guy came out of the house and helped us out- as it turned out we weren't far from the track! Continuing on our way we passed a church, some cute Labradors and Mom had to hold me back as two hackers rode past. Soon, we saw signs that we were arriving at our destination.

Two minutes later, we were there: HYDON'S BALL

Admiring the view

Yes I can read! Duh!

Little poem thought to be about the place

Some jog-er-aphy thing

Does this not make you glad to me alive? (DM: Apart from the smudges. Again.)

So many of you liked this photo so here it is again

The pine needles seem to be a re-occuring theme
We spent like half an hour up there before heading down again and it was worth every danged minute. Mom says we might do a summer shoot there one day. Mom and ate, we played fetch and generally chilled. The way back was a bit hurried as we had a bus to catch and get on time to. Luckily we made it and I slept all the way. We shall definitely repeating this walk many times as it for sure deserves to be in its AONB.

What Can I Do?

Hey pups! At the beginning of a new training blog hop I would like to show off to you guys what I can already do. I'll be doing so in the following videos which aren't long (so won't take up too much time to watch :)

The touch and head down cues are still works in progress but getting better by the day.

Scoop That Poop

Hey pups! Today I join the Scoop That Poop blog hop- one day late! I'd like to start off by sharing a parody of a rap performed in a Disney Channel show who's star is now a wrecking ball of stupidity....

I'm the dog who's got the poopie
She's the gal that has the scoopie
Put them both together and dawg it's really workie
Poop Scoop, say what, say what!
Poop Scoop, say what, say what!

Rooooo, I had fun writing that! I love it so much I'll include it in every Scoop that Poop post- like a personal official song of the event, if you will! (But I'll have to work on the 3rd line.)

Bringing the FurBaby Home

Hey pups! Today I'd like to share the story of me being picked up from my doggie Momma. Heck that was a long time ago! Mama and Middle Guy came as well. Mom carried me to the car and swaddled me in a cute little blanket. I was whining and crying (who wouldn't be?) and I ended by lying in Middle Guy's lap for most of the ride. I was an adorable puppy who loved getting into mischief trouble messes. House-training wasn't the quickest as I hated to leave the nice warm confines of the house to pee and poop in the cold and wet garden- especially as it was November and raining 85% of the time. (DM: Any house-training faults were my own and it was probably the biggest learning experience in my life with Dina! so far....) My first night will be remembered by me and by Mom for sure, after all it was the first time she had a dog she could call her own in the house. (She once looked after a dog for 2 weeks). Mom slept downstairs for the first three nights and woke up whenever I did and waited until I fell asleep. Ain't that sweet? Mom doesn't have a lot of good photos of me as a puppy as the only time I was still was when I was asleep, which is why you always see a limited range of my puppy photos.

Still at the breeders with my sis or brother (can't remember which!)

What are your sweet stories?
